Blog Headers

Some of you know that I have recently bought some new photo software and to be quite honest... I'm Addicted!
I have been playing around with it and somewhat figured out how to build "blog headers" or you could call them layered photos...

9-28-08 Shandas Baby Shower

Sharon, Rowyn and I went to Shanda's baby shower.

It was at The Reagin House in Forney, TX.

Banquet Room were we sat to eat and play games and watch shanda open gifts.

Although i didnt get many pictures, we did have a great time.

Here are a few pics.

This is a plaque that Tracie, Shanda's sister, had made for baby Karlie's room.
It says:
"You are the poem I dreamed of writing
the masterpiece I longed to paint
You are the shinning star I reached
for in my ever hopeful quest fulfilled
You are my child
now with all things I am blessed
Karlie Rae Carpenter"

This is a plate/platter/plaque that everyone signed, I assume Shanda will display it in Karlie's room.

Rowyn doesnt do real well in public places... she tends to panic when we get around groups of people that make alot of noise, she is used to being at home with mommy, in the quiet. She started to panic as soon as we arrived at the shower. I could see it written all over her little face before i even took her out of her seat. It was however, time to eat, so i found a quiet room,

and once she finished her bottle, we rocked until she fell asleep...after that she was good to go... she slept the rest of the shower.

I'm sure Shanda will post pictures on their blog soon.

9-27-08 Kelsie and Kaitlyn

Kelsie came to stay the weekend with Rowyn and I. Her parents, Chris, and our other friends went down to the deer lease for a long weekend. I picked her up Friday night from her gym class in forney. We ran some errands and went home. I could tell that she was bored out of her mind, so when she asked if kaitlyn could come and spend the night on saturday, That was just fine with me.

Here are some pics of them...

I told them to let me take their picture before they went out to swim, so we could post the pictures to kelsie's blog, I thought it was cute that they both decided to wear shorts to swim in, since kaitlyn had forgotten her swim suit and we could only find a top that was small enough to fit her.

oh yeah, by the way, i built kelsie a blog this weekend too. Please go check it out, I built her a really cute header for her blog too.

Diving Diva's

Had to eat their dinner first!... YUMMO! Spaghetti!

They had a blast, but hung out in the hot tub for most of the night. Guess the pool was a little chilly.

9-24-08 Got'em Ears Pierced!

We took Rowyn to get her ears pierced yesterday. Bless her little...

Sharon and I were like 16 before we got our ears pierced.
