Kid Sushi

Photobucket
Last night we made Kid Sushi...
We have done this several times so I dont know why I have never got pictures of the kids making it...
*Note to self*
but I thought that you guys would like the recipe to share with your kids too...
Its super yummy, and the kids love it...
Ill post the recipe from Rachel Ray's site but then i'll tell you how i do it too.

Thing to keep on hand:
Photobucket
Wax Paper
Rolling pin
(heavy drinking glass works as a rolling pin too)
Rice Krispy Treat Snacks(plain)
Twizzlers
Fruit Rolls Ups

Ok here we go...
Photobucket
1. Take your wax paper and give each kid 2
pieces about the size of placemats.

Photobucket
2. Give each kid 1 fruit roll up &
1 to 2 rice krispy treats
*1 if they are large bars(mine are large, so i didnt use that other bar that is in the pic),
*2 if they are small bars
3. Open pkgs and place snacks side by side
(if using 2 small bars)
on top of the fruit roll up on wax the paper

Photobucket
4. Zap the Rice Krispy Treats in the
microwave for about 10-20sec(to soften them)

Photobucket
5.Rowyn was eagerly awaiting her treat...
not really...
I didnt give her that, she is to little.

Photobucket
6. Cover with extra piece of wax paper
and smush it down flat using your
hand, rolling pin...whatever

Photobucket
7. The goal here is to try to smooth it out
to the size of the fruit roll up
Photobucket
8. Lay 2 Twizzlers on top
Photobucket
9. Then roll it up
Photobucket
10. Snip of the ends
Photobucket
11. Cut into about 1in pieces
Photobucket
12. WHAAA LAAAA!
Please leave me some comments.
