7-11-08 Cards with Kyle and Shanda

We went to Chilies in Forney with Kyle and Shanda Carpenter... Kyle had recently decided to take a career change, and put in for a salesman position at Barco(the company Chris works for)... Chris is the Sales Manager at Barco so it was up to him to let Kyle know that he had gotten the job, but he wasnt going to let him off that easy...lol...

Rowyn was dressed and ready to go when Daddy got home to pick us up to go to dinner.

On the way to dinner Chris told me that he wanted to try and trick Kyle into believing that they had decided to go with another one of the applicants. He also explained that when we arrived at the restaurant, he wanted me to take the baby and go in and wait with Shanda, while he and Kyle talked "business" in the truck, before they came in.

Chris said that Kyle's face was priceless, as he began to tell him.

"Well man, you know that we interviewed many applicants...and, well, you know that we have to do what is best for the company."

Kyle said, "Sure, I understand man."

Chris continued to pause.... .... .... .... ....

Then finally stuck his and out and said, "Welcome to the team, man!"

Yeah Kyle!...Congratulations!

Ok, so in they came, and we had dinner... then we decided to go back to Kyle and Shanda's house to play cards... we do this frequently after dinners with them...It is kinda a tradition of some sort... we always play Phase 10, and we always bake chocolate chip cookies... so i had already thought ahead and packed Rowyn's PJ's so she could be comfortable.

Well as soon as we got there and Shanda got her hands on Rowyn, she began her funny little grunts and groans... and sure enough... WHAMO!...
Shanda and I hollered from the living room for the boys to join us... when they did...we had Rowyn layed on her blanket on the floor, with her diaper and wipes...
We told Kyle that he was in training, and this one was just for him... he was having no part of it...lol... so Daddy took the diaper dooootie...



Then it was time to play cards... we played 11 rounds and still didnt finish the game... its a very long game... i began to fade out, and get sleepy about 11pm... being sleep deprived and all...im sure you understand...plus, normally i feed Rowyn at 7pm, then get in bed about 8:30pm... i let Chris take the 10pm feeding... this allows me to get a whole 4 1/2 hours, instead of my average 3hrs. woooo!
Anyways so i was tired... but Chris and Kyle were knockin a few beers back(I was also the DD) so they were in no mood to cut the game short...
Chris kept saying... "No babe, lets stay, just a couple more rounds... I will help you with the feedings tonight"



You tell me how that ended up...this was at 3:30am... when it was time for Rowyn to eat...lol
