What's for Dinner?

Update:
I have gotten some really good recipes, which you can find in the comments section at the bottom of this post.

Found this:

A Year of CrockPotting.
This lady was on Rachel Ray.
My friend Jessica replied today telling me about her.

Found this:

This is the dooming daily question that I must have answered every day by 2:00pm. Why, 2:00pm...? Well, I really like cooking in the crock pot, and on high it takes 4 hours for a meal to be ready by 6:00pm.

So again today, I run into the same dilema...

"What do I cook for dinner?"
"What do I have ingredients for?" (because i hate having to go to the store)
"Do I have side dish stuff to go with that?"

I need your help...

Do you know of any great crock-pot recipes?
Or even casserole recipes?

I would be so thankful. lol

Love, Megan

Yes, I do as a matter of fact.

Take a beef round eye roast, take one package of onion soup mix (the dry one) 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and one can of water. Cook for about four hours on high or 8 hours on low(give or take 30 minutes or an hour more depending on how big the roast is). I add fresh sliced onions to it at the beginning, then I add carrots about an hour before it is done and then about 30 minutes later I add potatoes. There you have it. All done, no additional veggies needed.

I have another crock pot recipe for spicy roast that I’ll try and remember to bring or send you from home. It is delicious and has a great flavor. I make mashed potatoes to go with that and either salad or green beans, any veggie will do.

Good luck. I have the same dilemma’s everyday…….

Sweetie, throw some frozen chicken breasts, chicken broth, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil and anything else you like. Add some diced onion, carrots, celery or whatever veggies you like…..cook on high then add minute rice and cook until tender…… You can even add cream of chicken soup to the mix for flavor….

Or you can boil or bake the breasts then throw them in the crock pot….. toss together a salad or warm up a veggie and your done……

You can use cream of chicken or even beef broth, whatever you have….. it all tastes great and the more you put in the better it is…..

Megan
At the school we have a gourmet company that comes once a month and delivers food ready to go in the oven or freezer! They are wonderful and all of our mommys go crazy over them! You can look them up on their website www.supersuppers.com in rowlett. They have also teamed up with Rachel Ray. If you ever want to place an order email them and you can pick it up here. I know for us it saves a alot of time and they are extremely reasonable. Talk to you soon.

ok, so i thought of a recipe....even though i should be working....its prolly the only one i know by heart

rigatoni noodles

1 pound velveeta

1 pound hamburger meat

1 16 oz. jar of pizza sauce

1 pack pepperoni

boil noodles

cube cheese

brown hamburger meat

layer in casserole dish

noodles then cheese then hamburger meat....spread pizza sauce on top....cover with pepperoni and back for about 30 minutes on 350

this is so simple and sounds plain but its good....this is called the "MOODY SPECIAL" lol

you can also spice it up by adding rotel to your hamburger meat...or add onions....or seasoning

I put a bag of chicken breast frozen in the oven with a can of cream of mushroom and cream of chicken and bake for an hour and half to two hours on 350 and then boil a bag of rice. Then put the chicken and sauce on a plate of rice. It is very yummy.

Upside Down Pizza

2 pounds ground chuck
1 c chopped onion
1 (15 ounce can tomato sauce)
1 (1 1/4-ounce) envelope spaghetti sauce mix
1 (8 ounce) Carton sour cream
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 ( 8 ounce) can refrigerated cresent rolls

Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring until meat crumbles; drain and return to skillet. Stir in tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce mix; cook over low heat 10 minutes, stirring often.

Spoon beef mixture into a lightly greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish; top with sour cream, and sprinkle with cheese. Unroll crescent rolls, and place over cheese. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Yield: 8 servings.

I always make this with wings and its like pizza and wings its really good.
