Question? Need your Help...?

I am currently feeding Rowyn breastmilk during the day and formula at night.

The formula that i have been giving her is Similac Advanced w Iron.

However I have 2 cans of Soy formula that i received in the mail as free samples.

Can I feed her this Soy Formula? Any input would be great...

Thanks, Megan

I haven't done formula but I would THINK that unless you're looking to switch to that variety long-term, it might mess her tummy up. It might not be worth it just to use it, yanno?

Also - I've read some icky things recently about soy. It's good if needed, like for a milk allergy, but in adults - soy has been linked to increased estrogen and thyroid problems. It was enough that it made me throw out the soy milk in my fridge. If she didn't need the soy, I'd probably just avoid it.

That's just me, though. It's not going to "break your baby" or anything. :o)

I tried it with Ryder because he was having tummy trouble and I thought that maybe it was a lactose problem. Turned out that he still had the same problems with the Soy so I went back to the original. I did the same as you are doing, a combination of formula and breast milk. I ended up using Enfamil with Lipil because he seemed to spit up the least with that. It is all kind of trial and error at this point and you will find what works best for Rowyn and You!
